Photos from Rotherham Children’s Book Awards

What a fantastic day I had on Friday, meeting all my lovely readers and some fellow authors at the Rotherham Children’s Book Awards. The Picture Book category was won by Caryl Hart and Leigh Hodgkinson for Don’t Dip Your Chips in Your Drink, Kate!, the Key Stage 1/2 category was won by Pete Johnson for Spook School: Horror From the Deep and the Key Stage 3/4 was won by Michael Morpurgo for An Elephant in the Garden.

There were lots of stalls displaying all the amazing work the schools had done on the books – I was overwhelmed by the effort and imagination that were put into each piece. Thank you to all the schools and to Natalie and all the other organisers for a great day!
