Fellow Northern Irish children’s writer – Maddie Stewart

It’s been four years since I first met Maddie. I had the pleasure of taking her Writing for Children course at Belfast Metropolitan College in 2007 and haven’t looked back since! The advice and support she gave were invaluable in finally getting into print and I cannot recommend her classes strongly enough! She does school visits and offers creative writing workshops at her home in Coney, Ardglass, Northern Ireland.

She is published with Mammoth, O’Brien Press and Walker Books and her last book “Hal’s Sleepover” was shortlisted for the RAI Children’s Book Awards 2009. Way to go Maddie!
